Retired and Discharged SOP

Chapter 5.1: Retired Personnel

Retired Personnel can rejoin the S.A.C at any time and can submit their interest via the case system (through our Discord bot), however, the following rules apply:

  1. If a member returns under 3 months of their last discharge, they will not be required to complete the OTC or any courses they may have obtained prior. However, they will be advised to attend a refresher course on all. They will not keep their previous rank and instead enter a position dependent on Operational Requirements at the discretion of the Management Team.

  2. If a member returns over 3 months but less than 6 months after their last discharge, they will be required to complete the OTC but may keep any qualifications they may have obtained prior. However, they will be advised to attend a refresher course on all. They will not keep any rank gained before discharge but can be assessed to re-enter at a lower level if they hold the correct qualifications under the discretion of the Management Team.

  3. If a member returns over 6 months of their last discharge the member will be required to complete the OTC and will not keep any qualifications they may have obtained prior. They will not keep any rank gained before their discharge.

Chapter 5.2: Dishonourably Discharged Personnel

Members who have been dishonourably discharged have the right to request an overturn of their discharge at any time through our case system, which is operated via our Discord bot. This will allow them to connect with the Management Team. The request will be reviewed by the team and the outcome will be communicated only to the member who made the request. The member may also be invited to attend an interview to provide additional information about their discharge.

If the dishonourable discharge is overturned, the member's status will change to "Not Applicable," and they will be permitted to reapply to the unit.

Upon returning to the unit after a dishonourable discharge has been overturned, the member will be placed on a probationary period. If, at any point during this period, the member fails to adhere to the unit's standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or any conditions set upon re-entry, they may be dishonourably discharged from the unit immediately.
